VIVA Skin Clinics

The Brief

To revolutionise the look and feel of VIVA Skin Clinics, a provider of aesthetics and beauty treatments based in London. Their previous branding lacked the attitude present within the clinic itself, leaving it looking generic and not truly representing the quality offered within.

The Solution

Simplicity was the key. Single-line illustrations of faces and flowers were stripped from the brand and instead a new typographic-led approach took centre stage. Using only two colours we simplified the entire aesthetic of the clinic, leaving their written statements and intent clear to see and not covered in stock illustrations which can be all too common. We took a line from some of their old introductory text and promoted it to a strapline: “We Believe in Confidence”. It set the tone for the rest of the site.

Photography was selected to go against the grain, featuring tattoos, shaved heads, piercings, and a much wider representation of people. Upon learning they offered male treatments but never featured them, we pushed toward a sub-brand for VIVA MAN, and inverted the simple colour scheme for a male-centric portion of the site. The monochrome imagery on black pages making for a striking look. You can’t promote confidence without showing it yourself.
